Novaléo is committed to respect the Global Compact
We believe that a firm can also be synonymous of commitment and integrity. That is why, we signed on March the 3, 2008 the statement of support for the principles of the Global Compact. We are committed to integrate these principles into our strategy, our culture and our operating process. The respect of human rights, labour standards, fight against corruption are also part of mechanism to insure a mastered and sustainable development. Everybody, at its own level, can contribute to the development of these values: as a consumer citizen, as an employee or as a firm. The mechanism of the Global Compact is mainly based on corporate social responsibility of the firms. Today it is essential to know the existence, the pertinence and the principles of the Compact. What is the Global Compact ? The Global Compact invites businesses to adopt, support and apply in their sphere of influence a set of 10 basic values in the area of human rights, labour standards, environment and fight against corruption. The Global CompactHuman Rights Principle N°1 : Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights, Principle N°2 : make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses. Labour standards Principle N°3 : Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining, Principle N°4 : the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour, Principle N°5 : the effective abolition of child labour, Principle N°6 : the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation. Environnement Principle N°7 : Businesses should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges, Principle N°8 : undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility, Principle N°9 : encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies. Anti-corruption Principle N°10 : Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.
